Indigenous Women Outdoors is ecstatic to offer six scholarships for this year's Rock and Rise Festival!

Rock and Rise’s annual climbing festival celebrates diversity in outdoor sports through a weekend of climbing and camping in beautiful Squamish, BC.

Expect a stacked program of inspirational speakers, mentorship-style instruction, a local artists’ market, and evening entertainment! The event will kick off Friday evening with opening presentations, followed by two days of climbing on world-class granite. 

Details:

  • Dates: Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28
  • Time: All day
  • Includes:
    • General admission ticket
    • Camping ground (not including camping supplies)
    • Morning snacks and Saturday dinner
    • Bouldering clinic (half day) on Saturday
    • Rope climbing clinic on Sunday
  • Registration and Cost:
    • Please note that this form is an expression of interest and chosen applicants will be asked to donate $50 towards IWO.

Sandy Ward is a member of the Lil’wat Nation, and an avid snowboarder, mountain biker and climber. She has been snowboarding for 20 years and has been a competitive halfpipe rider, snowboard instructor and backcountry enthusiast.
