Raven Whitehead is Anishinaabe and Cree from Yellow Quill First Nation, Saskatchewan. She first became involved with Indigenous Women Outdoors as a participant and built friendships and community through the programs. The experience had a positive impact on her life, and she later had the opportunity to organize her own outdoor program for Indigenous women, making it a full circle moment. For Raven, Indigenous Women Outdoors is about community, connection, and creating safe spaces for Indigenous women to explore the outdoors.
