“Try Sailing” Socials

Sḵwx̱ú7mesh

In partnership with

Join Indigenous Women Outdoors + InFlow Adventure Co. for a joyful 2.5 hour intro to sailing in Squamish at Sp’akw’us Feather Park.

Many Indigenous women and non-binary folks face barriers to water-based activities like sailing. This social sailing program offers a supportive and inclusive space to build foundational sailing and water safety skills. Participants will gain confidence, awareness of wind and water, while deepening their connection to the natural world and Indigenous relationships to water as life-giving and powerful.

No prior sailing experience needed, but a known comfort on water is recommended. Bring your curiosity and learn the basics in a safe and supportive environment, and connect with community.
