Join the Great Trek for a community run through unceded, traditional, and ancestral Musqueam territory.

We’re excited to invite you to be part of the Great Trek in partnership with RUNVAN. This is more than a run. It’s a chance to connect with community, honour the land, and move together with purpose.

The final event in the popular RUNVAN® Race Series, the Great Trek features races for everyone with a Half Marathon10K, and 5K..

Submit your interest by registering to learn more about the race and be part of this meaningful experience.

Details:

  • Date: Saturday, October 25
  • Time: Half Marathon starts at 8:30am, the 10K starts at 10:30 am, and the 5K starts at 12 pm noon.
  • Options: 5K, 10K, or half marathon distances
  • Includes: registration and good community vibes

Great Trek registration includes:

  • Measured and marked courses
  • Race Bib with Timing Chip

Executive Director

Aiyana Anderson-MacIsaac is the Executive Director at Indigenous Women Outdoors (IWO). She began her journey with the organization in 2020 as a participant in IWO’s first-ever program, the Introduction to Backcountry Mentorship Program. She then joined the Board of Directors as a Board Secretary in 2022 and served until April 2025. In 2024, Aiyana created and led the Off-Piste and Introduction to Backcountry Safety program as a Program Lead.
