Eryn Braley

Eryn Braley is a nehiyaw (Cree) woman and a member of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6 territory from her Father’s side, and British and Irish occupier from her Mother’s side. Eryn was raised by her mom on unceded, stolen, and occupied Coast Salish territory. Growing up away from her home community and territories, Eryn is on a journey of reclaiming her identity as a nehiyaw woman by connecting with her territories, family, community, and culture.

Michele Lobo

Michele Lobo is Yellowknives Dene First Nation along with French Canadian ancestry. She loves spending her time outdoors cycling, hiking, running, snow shoeing, ski touring, and canoe tripping – basically anything that involves moving down a trail. Mountain biking has always held a special place in her life.

Melissa Hoffart

Melissa is Anishinaabekwe and a member of Batchewana First Nation, mukwa (bear) clan with mixed European ancestry. Her passion to build community, connect with the land, and share lived experiences and knowledge in a meaningful way is what brought her to Indigenous Women Outdoors where she joined in 2020. When she is out on the land, Melissa enjoys spending time mountain biking and navigating the vast network of trails by foot. She loves spending time with her beads and in the garden, and she is learning Anishinaabemowin.

Sandy Ward

Sandy Ward is a member of the Lil’wat Nation, and an avid snowboarder, mountain biker and climber. She has been snowboarding for 20 years and has been a competitive halfpipe rider, snowboard instructor and backcountry enthusiast.

Myia Antone

Myia Antone is a proud youth from Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), with Ukrainian and Norwegian roots. Growing up in Squamish, she explored and loved taking care of the land that her ancestors have occupied since time immemorial.

Aiyana Anderson-MacIsaac

Aiyana Anderson-MacIsaac is the Executive Director at Indigenous Women Outdoors (IWO). She began her journey with the organization in 2020 as a participant in IWO’s first-ever program, the Introduction to Backcountry Mentorship Program. She then joined the Board of Directors as a Board Secretary in 2022 and served until April 2025. In 2024, Aiyana created and led the Off-Piste and Introduction to Backcountry Safety program as a Program Lead.
